Photo Contest Rules

• Competition is open to non-professional photographers only.
• All photos submitted must depict an aspect of the maple industry and/or the Pennsylvania Maple Festival.
• Each person is able to submit one (1) color photo and one (1) black & white photo.
• Photos submitted must be original and contain no watermark.
• All photos must be taken during the 2026 maple season and Pennsylvania Maple Festival (February 1 through April 13, 2025).
• Photos must be highest resolution possible (no less the 300 dpi).
• Photos must be submitted to the Festival Office at [email protected] no later than May 1, 2025.
• No hardcopies.  We are accepting digital photos only.
• If there is a person or people in your photo, you must get written permission from them. 
• There is no age restriction to submit photos for the contest.
• Formats accepted will be JPEG or PNG.
• No prominent display of brands or trademarks.
• The photo must not contain content that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous or libelous.

 
Please be sure to include the following in your submission:

• Name
• Complete address
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Caption or title
• Date of photograph
• Completed and signed Photo Release Form

  • Composition
  • Overall impact
  • Artistic merit
• Judges' decision is final.
•  The photo selected will be used as the cover for the 2026 Souvenir Program Book. All other photos may be utilized in various marketing material.​
