Demonstrations & Re-enactors

Demonstrators and re-enactors from various locations come to the Pennsylvania Maple Festival.  While visiting, you will have the opportunity to watch these talented people perform and make their creations.

DEMONSTRATORS
When entering or exiting Festival Park, be sure to stop by the Black Smith Shop for a demonstration on shaping and creating items at the forge.  While walking through the Sugar Shack, you will have the opportunity to watch the vendor create beautiful leather items.  You can visit the Cobbler Shop to see an antique cobbler display or the Antique Doctor's Office to see various medical items including surgical implements, leather medical bags and more.

RE-ENACTORS
Inside Festival Park the re-enactors will help educate you on various parts of history.  Become emersed in the experience and be sure to ask questions; they will be glad to answer.

As you journey through Maple Festival Park, you will learn about the people, lifestyles, politics, and belief that laid the foundation for the Meyersdale Community and the Pennsylvania Maple Festival.

Re-enactors are stationed throughout Festival Park and are available to help you understand the history in this area. Please feel free to ask any of our re-enactors and festival volunteers questions. They will be glad to answer your questions.
