11th PA Volunteer Infantry Reenactors Coming To Festival Park

The 11th PA Volunteer infantry, Company K, will again be part of the PA Maple Festival on Friday April 4 - Sunday, April 6, at Festival Park. The 11th PA Civil War Reenactors will have an encampment with roll call, mail call, scheduled firing demonstrations, and children's drill. Adults are also welcome to participate.

The company cook will be available and plans to have a cooking demonstration and show what the soldier's rations were like.

Several soldiers who are familiar with the signal corps will show how in the era before walkie-talkies, the 'wig-wag' of flags was used to communicate.

There will also be a Civil War Era Fashion Show that will include women's fashions such as dresses, gowns, hats, bonnets, jewelry, parasols and other accessories. There may also be some gentlemen's attire.
